Free & Confidential Behavioral Health Ombuds Services for Nine Counties in Southeast WA

The Behavioral Health Ombuds Service is a peer-directed advocacy service assisting with information and referrals, advocacy and complaints, helping to navigate grievances, appeals and Administrative Hearings regarding your Medicaid mental health or substance use disorder services, as well as for anyone receiving crisis, State-funded or non-Medicaid services.

The Ombuds will:

  • Provide you with information and referrals
  • Investigate the issue or concern you might have at your behavioral health agency
  • Assist you with navigating the grievance or appeal process
  • Assist you with your State Administrative Hearing process for your Behavioral Health services

The Ombuds will not:

  • Provide you with legal representation
  • Provide you with case management services
  • Provide you with crisis services
